1 . More Family Time : Probably the number one benefit we get from our travel is more family time . Before we began traveling and world schooling , between school , work and activities , we had almost no family time together ! Now we spend nearly 24 / 7 together . People ask us ALL the time if we get sick of each other . I think the first month or so WAS an adjustment , but now we love being together and if one of us has to go out of town without the family , we really miss whoever is missing !
3 . Experiential Education which improves comprehension and retention : As I said before , we were both educators before parents so education is high on our list of priorities ! It has been amazing to learn about medieval times and then go visit a medieval castle . When we read books about certain topics , the kids are always making connections with places we have been or things we have seen or done . Nothing will help you remember and understand Shakespeare more than reading his plays , then visiting his birthplace , then going to the Globe Theater in London and seeing one of his plays . Those are just experiences that you don ’ t ever forget !

2 . Exposure to worldwide cultures : It ’ s amazing what our kids can pick up just by living in a new country for a few weeks or
