An ecosystem includes all of the living things (plants, animals and tiny
organisms) in an area, interacting
with each other, and also with their
non-living environments (weather,
earth, sun, soil, climate, atmosphere).
In an ecosystem, each organism has
its’ own “job”. And they all depend on
each other to survive. There is a very
delicate balance in an ecosystem, and
if that balance is disrupted, and one
plant or animal species dies, the whole
ecosystem would be in grave danger.
That’s why it’s important that humans
become global guardians and protect
ecosystems, including all animals and
plants, and not harm them.
Conservation is the protection of
things found in nature. It requires the
careful use of all Earth’s natural resources; water, soil, minerals, wildlife,
and forests. We care about conservation because it’s important to preserve
our natural resources so they will still
be around in the future. We also try
to keep the environment clean and
healthy.
