Global Grassroots 2011

Social Impact & Continued Growth

This past year has represented the reinvigoration of our work since the economic downturn, and strategic and innovative efforts to scale our work to meet the global demand for our programs. In particular, we have:

• Provided seed funding for the start-up or expansion of 8 ventures.

• Provided intensive hands-on training and coaching for the design of 7 new ventures which will be ready to launch by year-end.

• Trained a new corps of Conscious Change Practitioners: 7 women representing 3 countries, who will soon be certified to travel to new countries to offer our training programs in partnership with local NGOs.

• Designed our eAcademy: an online elearning platform that will disseminate our core social entrepreneurship curriculum to women’s groups in 45 countries worldwide, offering them the tools to establish their own micro-NGOs to benefit women and girls.
