Congratulations to our exceptionally bright students from GPS International who were recipients of the High Achievement Award declared by the Cambridge Assessment International Education for the academic year 2016-17. Students of Grade 6 had a delightful time visiting amazing spice gardens, breathtaking waterfalls and impressive tea plantations at Munnar in October! Khadeeja Imthiaz (Topper in Travel and Tourism, AS Level) Last year she had topped the same subject in the IGCSE examination. Adventurous escapades and thrilling moments were the order of the day as Grade 7 camped at the Rockhill Adventure Park, Rajakkad in October! Students of Grade 8 thoroughly enjoyed nature at Hornbill Camp Thattekkad in January. The visits to the bird sanctuary, butterfly garden and the longest hanging bridge in South India had them amazed. Biology students of Grade 11 & 12 attended a two-day interactive session on “Genetics in real life” by Dr. Vijai Joseph (Associate Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College, NYC) in November. The Bio-Discovery Program which was conducted by the Unibiosys labs gave them hands on experience on the use of modern apparatus and various techniques in biotechnology. Ashley Placid and Adwyth Sumesh (Grade 9) won the First Prize in the “Math Challenge” competition conducted in January by Ra j a g i r i S c h o o l o f Engineering and Technology as part of their Mathematics Club Day Celebrations 2018. Avinash Prasad, Shreyas Shiju (Grade 9) and Hrishi Ashok (Grade 8) won the second Prize for the "Paper Folding" contest! Global Gazette
