lobal Custodian is delighted to an-
nounce the shortlist for our Industry
Leaders Awards in New York on 29
November, as we celebrate the industry’s
best performers in fund administration,
prime brokerage, custody and technology
innovation.
The awards are based on the results of
Global Custodian’s market-leading surveys
conducted throughout the year. Candidates
for the awards are selected based on four cri-
teria: the results of the GC McLagan surveys
published in Global Custodian, the number
of responses, unweighted scores for category
excellence gathered in the survey process and
- in the event that the other criteria result in a
tie - client comment.
Three firms lead the way in terms of nomi-
nations with Apex Fund Services up for nine
awards, BNP Paribas’ prime brokerage and
hedge fund administration businesses in the
running for a combined seven, and Trident
Trust nominated for six honours.
Wells Fargo are shortlisted for three prime
brokerage awards, with Morgan Stanley
and Pershing also both up for three in that
segment.
The fund administration shortlists combine
hedge fund, private equity and mutual fund
services.
Across these fund services categories, Citco,
Ultimus, Cowen and Maples are each nomi-
nated for three awards.
The mutual fund services space sees Atlan-
tic Fund Services and Ultimus dominating the
shortlists with four nominations apiece.
Under the Editors’ Choice section of
our evening BNY Mellon, State Street and
Northern Trust will battle it out our Global
Custodian of the Year award.
We have also shortlisted BNY Mellon,
Northern Trust and SS&C for Fund Services
Technology Innovation, while further inno-
vation awards are now open for nomination.

The awards will be held at Chelsea Piers on
29 November, with our annual panel discus-
sion sessions preceding the evening’s celebra-
tions. We will also be handing out the coveted
Lifetime Achievement of the Year, along
with crowning our North American Industry
Person of the Year, and honouring the latest
entrant to our Hall of Fame.
