One of San Diego ’ s inspiring non-profit education supporters invites you to be part of something special that can make a real difference in the lives of local students and teachers .
Illuminate Pathways , hosted by the Cal Coast Cares Foundation and presented by New Cars Inc ., will take place on October 24 at National University ’ s scenic Torrey Pines campus in La Jolla . Additional sponsors include National University , San Diego Gas & Electric , San Diego Gulls , Granite Lion Cellars , and Chris Wiley , Primary Residential Mortgage , Inc .
The Cal Coast Cares Foundation is a local 501 ( c )( 3 ) non-profit that supports local education through scholarships for students and grants for educators . With students and teachers struggling to meet the increasing costs of education , the Foundation ’ s mission to enrich the lives of students and teachers could not be more critical .
Illuminate Pathways will boast spectacular cuisine , prepared in part by San Diego Mesa College ’ s Culinary Arts students . The event will feature exciting silent auction items , raffle prizes , and a Sangria and Boba bar . Guests will be entertained by talented local students and inspired by personal stories from past scholarship and grant recipients .

the Foundation is able to provide more than $ 80,000 in scholarships to local high school and college students , including foster youth . The foundation also awards more than $ 20,000 to teachers for classroom projects in the STREAM ( science , technology , reading , engineering , arts and math ) disciplines .
