Tijuana at Heart
K
urt Honold is someone I admire not only for his passion
to promote the great city of Tijuana, but for his ability to
balance his life, staying healthy and maintaining a beautiful
family and marriage.
From a very young age, Kurt’s father taught him
and his brothers the importance of exercise. Exercising
is part of his life and tries to do it every single day
whether going to the gym or mountain
biking. Being active helps his mind stay
fresh and think more clearly!
Kurt wakes up around 5:45 am and
has a cup of coffee with his wife,
they talk about their day and watch
the news. He goes to the gym for
an hour and a half with his routine
consisting of 45 minutes of strength
training and 45 minutes of cardio on
the elliptical. Every morning, he has
a green juice with kale, spinach,
celery, ginger and turmeric. For
lunch he usually eats a grilled
chicken salad and for dinner
salmon with rice and roasted
vegetables. For dessert he has a
date or a slice of apple pie. Kurt’s
workweek is an intense one as he
arrives at the office at 9 A.M. and
works until 8 P.M. Every day is busy
with meetings and frequent travel.
