with its 2019 World Tour theme, Helen
Woodward Animal Center is celebrating
its 31st annual Spring Fling Gala at
a new location; the Fairbanks Ranch
Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe on June 8, 2019.
Known for its 5-star dining experience highlighting
tapa-style portions from San Diego’s top restaurants,
the Spring Fling Gala is Helen Woodward Animal
Center’s biggest fundraising event of the year. The
private non-profit organization in Rancho Santa Fe
has 13 unique programs all dedicated to the mission
of people helping animals and animals helping people.
This year’s gala committee, the largest one yet,
is excited to bring the World Tour theme to life at
their new venue, thanks to committee member Joel
Garlejo who is heading the event’s décor. A special
Spring Fling Committee
thanks to the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. Longtime Center friend
and supporter Jaime Carr recruited animal-lover Erin Combs and
together they will co-chair the charity event.
Keeping up with her tradition, Committee Restaurant Chair Ann
Dizney has secured an impressive lineup of over 20 restaurants
including The Melting Pot, The Fish Market, Bluewater Grill and
Donovan’s Steak & Chop House.
Following dinner, guests will delight in sweet treats and a meet and
greet with Center therapy pets and adorable adoptable puppies, as
well as local beer, wine and spirits while enjoying live entertainment
from Haute Chile. Plus, the night will include a rousing live and silent
auction featuring exclusive items such as unique travel opportunities
and experiences, art work and signed memorabilia.
Guests will be moved by life-saving animal stories highlighting the
work done to transfer pets in need to the Center to find new homes
and learn about the Center’s efforts to help the pets of San Diego’s
homeless.
