San Diego proudly
presents the San
Diego Latino Film
Festival which has provided insight
and enjoyment to film lovers for
26 years. Having shown over
3,880 films of all genres since its
inception, each year attendees find
themselves immersed in cinema
created by some of the finest
performers and creators from Latin
American, the U.S. and Spain.
While film is the focal point of the
11 day festival, it also includes
Sabor Latino serving cuisine
prepared by Latino chefs and
Sonido Latino featuring talented
musicians. Giving Back Magazine
has been a proud sponsor of this
celebration of Latin culture for the
past 12 years!

presenta el Festival de
Cine Latino de San Diego
donde se podrá tener una mirada
placentera de la industria del cine
de los últimos 26 años, con más
de 3.880 películas de todos los
géneros ya presentadas. Quienes
participen de este evento tendrán
la oportunidad de verse inmersos
en un cine creado y representado
por algunos de los mejores
profesionales de Latinoamérica, los
Estados Unidos y España. Aunque
el cine es el centro de los once
días del festival, también se podrá
disfrutar de Sabor Latino, donde se
ofrecen comidas preparadas por
chefs latinos y Sonido Latino donde
se presentan talentosos músicos.

One of the stand-out films from
this year’s festival is La Boda de
Mi Mejor Amigo, the Spanish-
language adaptation of the classic
My Best Friend’s Wedding. Filmed
in Guadalajara and Mexico City,
it stars Ana Seradilla as Julia, the
woman who has made a promise
to marry her best friend if they are
both single at age 35. However,
she is in for a surprise when she
finds out he is marrying another
woman. Carlos Ferro will play
opposite Seradilla as the male lead,
Manuel. The film is predicted to be
a hit generating a big buzz. Uno de las películas destacadas
del festival de este año es La boda
de mi mejor amigo, una adaptación
al español de la clásica My Best
Friend´s Wedding. Esta película se
filmó en Guadalajara y Ciudad de
México, con Ana Seradilla como
protagonista en el papel de Julia, la
mujer que prometió casarse con su
mejor amigo en caso de que ambos
llegaran solteros a los 35 años. Pero
para su sorpresa, descubre que
su amigo encontró a otra mujer.
Carlos Ferro se mete en el papel de
Manuel, el mejor amigo. Se espera
un gran éxito y muchos comentarios
de esta película.
