Health SIMNSA MEDICAL CENTER Opening Its Doors To The General Public S istemas Médicos Nacionales, or SIMNSA, is investing $130 million dollars in their eight-story medical services tower, turning an entire city block into a full-service hospital complete with 120 beds, 2,000 parking spaces, an Emergency Room and an Intensive Care Unit within a 650,000 square foot facility. Currently, they have completed the first phase, and by 2020 upon completion of the project, the hospital will have eight operating rooms, a cardiology department along with neurosurgery, oncology, catheterization, blood bank, hemodialysis, pathology lab, computerized mammography with tomosynthesis, MRI, regenerative medicine, hyperbaric chamber, CAT Scan, and fluoroscopy among others. SIMNSA has invested in the most complete, state of the art facilities being able to offer services to the more than 80,000 beneficiaries of their medical plan offered as an HMO to their affiliates living in Southern California, who would otherwise have to visit multiple different facilities in Baja California to get the services they need. With this significant investment and construction of their new facilities, they project tripling the number of patients served by the new medical project because all these services will be open to the public from both sides of the border.
