or more than 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs
of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) has had a
distinguished history as a youth non-profit
organization in San Diego County. Established
in Logan Heights in 1941, the Boys Club of San
Diego was the first Boys Club built in San Diego County. Since
then, the agency has grown to include 20 sites and is the second
largest Boys & Girls Club agency in California, covering almost
45% of San Diego County. Their mission is to inspire and enable
youth to achieve academic success, build good character and
responsible citizenship, and make healthy lifestyle choices.
Their three priority outcomes - academic excellence, healthy
lifestyles and character development - help create a positive and
