I always mess up with measurements and
cooking temperatures. I burn everything.
I had 3 years worth of misadventures with
sour cream in Germany. I always bought
the wrong thing. Sometimes whipping
cream, yogurt, clotted cream, whole milk,
creme fraiche, with chives, without…
Everything you can imagine. I eventually
built a neurosis and then mentally blocked
the right choice simply by habit. Funny
now, but it really was ridiculous.
