As people took the streets, forcing the president to end his decades-long
reign, I started writing about the protests and political issues, persevering despite electricity blackouts and unreliable internet. The blog however, got me
into trouble with government supporters, misogynists, some of my friends
and family and most importantly, my parents.
While I understood my family’s concern, they did not understand how
committed I was.
