appy 1st Year Anniversary, Girl Gone Internationals!
Girl Gone International went global on International Women’s Day, 8 March 2013
with the launch of the GirlGI digital magazine. Each issue is a huge global collaborative effort, fuelled by the desire to represent our vibrant way of life.

The last issue of GirlGI magazine was packed with themes to inspire the new year.
In this issue we’d like to remind you to not only plan ahead, but to also take risks and
live in the moment. Life happens quickly. All we have is the moment; all we have is
‘now’. We’d like to inspire and encourage you to make the most of each and every
moment.
The future is unknown and life is fleeting. We’re not saying you should live every day
as if it’s your last, but the beauty of living in the moment is that it forces you to find
the extraordinary in your everyday life. Take time to notice and appreciate the little
things and keep an open mind to opportunities and experiences as they present
themselves.

While the prospect of throwing one’s self into the moment can be scary it can also be
incredibly rewarding. The women who have contributed to Issue 5 have conquered
fears, taken risks, seized moments and are living life without regret. We hope they
inspire you to do the same.
So throw caution to the wind! Book that ticket, pack that bag, kiss that stranger and
never stop embracing life and happiness in whatever form it takes, wherever it may
be.
