I live my life enveloped in Emerson’s
quote ‘Live in the sunshine, swim in the
sea, drink the wild air’ and have found
contentment on this little island, despite
its challenges. In the end, it’s the quality
of life that has me hooked.
Island life has forced me to get creative
over the years, teaching myself an array of do-it-yourself fixes to the things I
want/need but cannot find here.
When you look past the petty frustrations and lack of convenience, you find
a slower way of living that affords you
the time and perspective to appreciate
the people and the world around you.
I’ve become a more adept and wellrounded woman. And, who knew a
move to the Caribbean would teach
me how to bake?
