Work with core items that you
can mix and match for maximum
versatility. For example one pair
of jeans in classic blue, black
pants, a casual and a formal
skirt, shorts and a handful of tops
that can go with everything. A
classic ‘wear anywhere’ black
blazer or a neutral leather jacket
is also a good option. They will
work with anything and can be
dressed up or down.
Before you pack, workshop
all the items to ensure that they
go together and work in
different combinations. It often
helps to take a few snapshots of
outfits so that you can remember
them, as you will have so many
other things to think about upon
arrival.
Also, place a special focus
on accessories. By adding an
accessory to a core, classic item
you can dramatically change the
look. Accessories are smaller and
pack more easily.
