The Gilroy Economic Development Corporation ( GEDC ) held their annual partner ’ s luncheon on October 24 at Hilton Garden Inn . The event , attended by 65 representatives of the Gilroy business community and government leaders , is an opportunity for the GEDC to recognize the funding partners of the organization , both public and private . A presentation made by GEDC President & CEO Tammy Brownlow , included an update on the activities of the organization , economic indicators showing positive growth , and the importance of maintaining the public-private partnership . The GEDC is a non-profit organization that spearheads business attraction , formation and retention in the City of Gilroy . Founded in 1996 , the organization is celebrating 18 years of assisting businesses in Gilroy .

FARM-TO-TABLE DINNER

The Gilroy Demonstration Garden hosted it ’ s 4th Annual Farm-to-Table Dinner and Fundraiser on Sunday , October 4th . With nearly 100 supporters in attendance , the Dinner was catered for the second consecutive year by Chef David Jamrock at Culinary Decisions . Members of the community donated some unbelievable items for the silent auction ! An amazing time was had by all in attendance ! Proceeds raised from the event help to support the mission of the Gilroy Demonstration Garden , Gilroy ’ s only community garden . “ Growing Our Community , One Seed at a Time .”
