Up the road just off of Hecker Pass is a beautiful outdoor living space built by Steve and Linda Hussar . They built the house in 1977 and have tested various outdoor configurations over the years . In 2007 , they built the 600-square-foot outdoor living room with comfortable seating and large fireplace . In 2012 , the old , less functional outdoor kitchen was demolished and a new kitchen moved back to the garage wall . The new configuration makes for a large tiled outdoor space that perfectly fits the friendly personality of the Hussars . Comfortable seating , a wood burning fireplace , two BBQ grills , a full kitchen , outdoor tables , lighting and a music system make for an amazingly comfortable outdoor living space .
