Sushi Omakase • 6905 Camino Arroyo , Suite 50 What a fun place ! You are greeted with a hearty welcome as you walk in the door . It ’ s an experience watching the chefs prepare the sushi and as soon as you sit down you are served edamame and asked what you would like to drink . They have some great “ rice wine ” based cocktails and the sushi is always fresh and beautifully served .

Station 55 • 55 Fifth Street Years of experience are evident . Both Fran & Bobby Beaudet have been in the restaurant business for years and it shows . This family friendly establishment offers reasonable prices for good , wholesome food and great service . Located in a historical fire station . We enjoy taking our grandchildren there . Fran and Bobby seem to understand families .

Sandy ’ s Café • 6120 Monterey Road My ( J ) father , John Albaugh , has breakfast there every morning right after Mass at St . Mary Catholic Church . He orders the “ RUT ” — it ’ s not on the menu but all the waitresses know what he wants — two poached eggs , strawberries and an English muffin with coffee . Sandy and Junior Moretti recently purchased the café — used to be Sunrise Café . They are open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday but have special dinners on Friday and Saturday nights from 5-8 .

Chevy ’ s Fresh Mex • 8440 Murray Avenue This is the only chain we have on our list and that ’ s because we love their food ; especially the fresh made tortillas and you can ’ t go to Chevy ’ s without having one of their wonderful Margaritas . And the chips and salsa are fantastic . You really can ’ t just eat one . We don ’ t go as often as we would like because we eat too much .

O . D ’ s • 28 Martin Street Originally opened in 1989 by Don & Diana O ’ Donoghue , this down home cafe is family owned and operated by Brian O ’ Donoghue and his brothers Mark and Michael . The locals love this little , friendly cafe . It almost seems like you ’ re visiting a friend ’ s home for breakfast . The biscuits and gravy are the best . They also serve lunch and dinner .
