Something Colorful For Your Garden
Following High Fashion
Colors in your garden follow the trends of high fashion and why not . Shouldn ’ t your garden be a show stopper ? The 2013 colors are fun , light and bright . From bright yellows and greens to soft hues of peach or orange they will look great in your garden . But try to think out of the box . Of course you want to redo your pots of color with the wonderful spring colors of Calibrachoa , Dianthus and Gerbera Daisies , but the pops of color don ’ t have to come only from your plants and flowers .
Try repurposing your terra cotta pots or an old trellis with one of these bright colors from Rust-Oleum , maybe bright blue or yellow ? On their website , rustoleum . com , they have tutorials for all kinds of fun projects that would work perfectly to brighten up your garden . You can also put a large glazed pot in purple with a great Black Eyed Susan Vine with its beautiful bright yellow and black flowers . Or a bright red pot with one of my favorites the Blueglow Agave with great blue flesh color and just enough red edging to set off the pot . The pottery manufacturers have come such a long way in creating new wonderful colors that the garden does not have to be just greens and browns any longer .
If you have a little “ secret garden ” area , you can put out a bright bistro table so you can enjoy the mornings or evenings with a book and some coffee or tea ! The bistro set below is from a wonderful new line of Fermob tables that are sure to do the job . And even a smaller space can do with a brightly colored ceramic sphere . It will last forever with no care !
