Operations Highlights
Conducted 28 American Heart Association Heartsaver classes , which provided training for 283 people in CPR and AED

Upgraded nine ( 9 ) Thermal Imagers on front line and reserve fire apparatus All apparatus upgraded with WiFi connections Acquired four ( 4 ) Lucas ( CPR ) devices for all MICU ’ s Acquired Tablet computers for all front line apparatus Instituted a revised hose load for attack lines resulting in a quicker deployment Upgraded the apparatus ’ Knox Box system for easier programing
Received new Medic 1 and Medic 3 and put into operation , allowing GFD to donate a reserve Medic to the Citizen ’ s Fire Academy Alumni to replace Rehab unit
Awarded a personal watercraft from Kawasaki on a loan program
Placed Marine 2 in a slip for secondary response � Received a Kawasaki Mule for Medic 10 ( off-road and trail response ) � Received a Kawasaki Mule for Trail 5 ( off-road brush fire response ) � �

Received the STAR EMS Award from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine for exceptional care of patients
Grapevine Alarm upgraded to dispatch the specific type of call which allows crews to properly anticipate what they will encounter once on scene
Filmed two Public Service Announcements about “ Don ’ t Die of Doubt ” and “ Don ’ t Endanger Your Child In a Hot Vehicle ” for release on social media
Certified two members of GFD as SWAT Medics , which are now members of the Northeast Tarrant County Area SWAT Team ( NETCAST )
Received Command / EMS trailer to assist with festivals and emergency incidents Received the Mission Lifeline Gold Award for STEMI activations and cardiac care Set the STEMI record at Baylor – Grapevine for door to balloon against other cities Upgraded all station Medicine Vaults for easier programing
