The Georgia Office of Victim Services supports and assists registered crime victims in Georgia. The office is associated with three state agencies; the Parole Board, The Department of Corrections and the new Department of Community Supervision. At Victims Visitors' Days in Forsyth on April 14th and in Fort Valley on July 30th, more than 200 victims of crime met with the State Board of Pardons and Paroles giving Board Members information about their cases. More than 2,500 crime victims have been assisted since 2006 through a Victims Visitors' Day. The Parole Board has now visited 15 different Georgia communities.
