How to register for Ice Skating?
Ice Skating Classes require two registrations (One through Fox Valley Ice Arena (FVIA) and the Geneva Park District).
Please follow the steps below to pay the annual $20 basic skill fee through FVIA:
1. Log onto fvia.us, click ‘Register For A Program’
2. If you have an account click ‘login’, if you don’t select ‘Household Account’ (Parent is primary and then they add children)
3. Once logged in click ‘Register For A Program’, then click ‘Skate School’ Tab on the left hand side
4. Towards the bottom of the page you will see USFS Basic Skills Registration, click ‘Register’
5. Select person you are registering (Parents remember you are registering whoever is taking the class)
6. Accept the waiver by checking the box, then, click ‘Add To Cart’ and then ‘Checkout’
All classes include Open Skate times: Tuesday: 5:40 - 5:50 pm and Thursday: 6:10 - 6:30 pm. Missed classes can be made up anytime within the session
depending on class availability. Please check with the skate school staff for a makeup voucher on No Class dates. All classes are taught by Skate
School Staff at Fox Valley Ice Arena. 1996 S. Kirk Rd, Geneva. $20 Basic Fee is valid from July 1 - June 30.

Ice Skating
Learn To Ice Skate Lessons
Ages 3-5
7 Classes
This class is for young beginners that have
never skated before. This is a fun atmosphere,
using games and ice-safe toys to help teach
basic skills and include proper falling, getting
up, marching, gliding and forward swizzles. Ice
Skating is a low impact exercise that provides
positive effects on overall health.

learn how to skate for Hockey. The class focuses
on the basic skating fundamentals necessary to
skate and/or play hockey. Ice Skating is a low
impact exercise that provides positive effects

fundamentals of hockey skating. Skaters will

Learn to row with the St. Charles Rowing
Club on the Fox River this summer. A fun
basic introduction to the sport of rowing.
Learn the basic aspects of rowing, from parts
of the boat, carrying equipment and proper
rowing stroke! Enjoy a safe, supportive
environment on the beautiful Fox River while
learning an Olympic sport. Must know how
to swim. Please select a t-shirt size. No experience
