Camp Coyote Descriptions
Beetles, Bugs & Butterflies Ultimate Survivor
Budding “insect-igators” will learn how to use a microscope, how to safely
collect insects, and the important relationship between insects and
humans while playing games, using creativity and being little scientists. Join a tribe, find the hidden immunity idol to earn points, solve
nature puzzles, and learn to survive. Compete in challenges including
orienteering, lakeside, and the prairie scavenger hunt.

The Untouchables Nature’s Architects
Discover a world of pokey plants, plants that make you itch, animals that
are not cuddly, and animals with untouchable defenses. All are important
in nature. Investigate what they do, how they do it, and why we need the
untouchables. Build and test structures that are found in nature, like nests, dens, and
lodges. With a little imagination, nature’s materials can be transformed
into strong, weather-proof structures.

Mad Scientists

Campers will become junior paleontologists and will dig for fossils, follow
dinosaur trails, and create a dinosaur egg to take home.
Water Wizards
Discover crazy science with cool chemical reactions, magical experiments
and a mixture of outdoor exploration and active games.
Wild Child
Entering 3rd-5th
Entering K-2nd
Investigate the many properties of water through experiments and
observations. Become a scientist to examine aquatic pond animals,
explore the ecology of aquatic life, and get really, really wet!
Slippery, Slimy Science
Use a GPS unit and a compass to hunt for treasure around the lake,
experience cartography by making your own map, and go behind the
scenes at Peck Farm.
Biology Bootcamp

Young scientists will experiment, explore and investigate while creating
chemical reactions making slime and other slippery solutions and learn
about animals that make their own slime, sticky stuff, and stink.
Superhero Science- K-2nd

Entering 3rd-5th
Learn more about living organisms and ecology in this science-based
camp. Explore life cycles of the wet, slimy, furry, and feathery, plus plants
and their defenses. Use microscopes, underwater viewers, and other tools.
Discovering Nature’s Masterpieces
Entering 3rd-6th
Discover the science behind animals with super strength, x-ray vision,
invisibility, shooting webs, and other super powers. Which superhero of
the animal world would you like to be?
Explore the wonders of the natural world to create artistic masterpieces.
Use your creativity in print making, natural dyeing, collage and more - the
possibilities are endless. Family members are invited to attend a camper
art exhibition on the last day of camp.
