Frequently asked questions
How to register for summer camp?
To begin the registration process, please visit genevaparks.org to download the registration forms. In order to receive eligibility and have access
to register for camps online, submit the 2019 Camp Packet to Sunset Community Center, 710 Western Avenue, or Stephen Persinger Recreation
Center, 3507 Kaneville Road in Geneva, prior to registration. Please note: packet must be submitted 48 business hours prior to online registration.
Payment must be made in full to register online.
You may also register for camps in person, by faxing completed forms to 630-232-4569, by emailing completed forms to [email protected], or
returning forms by mail.
• Registration will be accepted until 9pm the Wednesday prior to the start of a session, pending availability.
• Waitlists will be formed when program reaches maximum participant capacity.
• All staff are CPR / AED and First Aid certified

• Bring a backpack, (nut-free) snack/lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, gym shoes and socks daily.
• Fun-2-Play! Camp will be offered for the week of August 12-16. Turn to page 31 for details.
• Session 9, the week of August 5-9: Explorer and Adventure Camp will be held at Sunset Community Center.
Junior X-treme Camp (JTXC) and Teen X-treme Camp (TXC) will be held at Stephen Persinger Recreation Center.
Camp Payment Arrangements
An additional non-refundable $50 is required to hold your space. You must register in person by May 1
at Sunset Community Center. Payments will be deducted May 1, June 1, and July 1.
Refund Policy
Refund Requests must be submitted 10 business days prior to the start of a session or for an extended
medical leave (5 or more consecutive days) with a doctor’s note. Refunds or credits will not be given for
vacation, illness, extracurricular activities, disciplinary reasons or other temporary childcare arrangements.
Tax Information
The Geneva Park District tax identification number is 36-600-8378. The Geneva Park District will supply
year-end tax information. Please contact Dawn Flesvig at 630-262-2220 with any tax questions.
Medical Treatment Policy
Your child’s well-being is our main concern. The medical portion of the emergency form must be completed. Please list any/all conditions that may
affect your child during camp hours, ie. asthma, allergies, (bee stings, peanuts, craft items, etc.), appropriate use of inhalers and any information you
feel is important. Camp Staff is not medical personnel. Medications cannot be administered to the participant without written consent from the
parent / guardian and require a doctor’s signature. Camp Staff is trained in basic first aid and CPR and will take appropriate action when necessary. If
emergency services personnel are deemed necessary by staff, the expense will be the responsibility of the camper’s parent / guardian.
Special Needs Accommodations
The Geneva Park District believes in the right to an excellent recreational experience for all individuals from all backgrounds and ability levels.
If your child has any special medical, physical, psychological and/or emotional needs, or receives special services from the school district, please list
in detail on the registration materials. Lack of communication may adversely affect the park district’s ability to accommodate the needs of your child.
Please allow at least two weeks for all requests.
