Youth Variety Horsemanship and Science Horsemanship for Kids Ages 9-17 6 Classes Learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather. First day of class is orientation and groundwork. Please note: riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet. Learn the secrets behind your favorite waterpark rides and slides. Children may get a bit wet as they get hands on with tubes, pumps, sprayers and other tools used in the waterpark industry. Please note: a concession style themed snack will be offered during class. Participants will also receive a free one-day pass to the Sunset Pool! Dress appropriately, as participants will get a chance to make their very own batch of homemade ice cream with an ice cream eating contest to follow. Plenty of tastings and a themed souvenir included. Make 2 types of gooey slime and customize it at the concoction center to please your senses. Get crazy and dress appropriately as we’ll be getting hands on with goggles, test tubes, squirters, and more for this extremely messy experience. A slimed theme snack will be served.
