This includes barre training, floor work, and choreography. Pointe is classical ballet where students will learn beginner exercises and technique to dance on their toes in classical form. Please note: no former ballet training is required. Pointe shoes are required for Pointe class. In the saddle, you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather. First day of class is orientation and groundwork. You will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off and read a knitting pattern. By the end of class you will have completed a washcloth and will have started a beautiful scarf. Please note: Supplies NOT included. Students will need to purchase a set of size US 8 needles, 1 skein of Sugar N Cream cotton yarn and 1 skein of worsted (medium) weight yarn for the scarf (lighter colors recommended). This very fun project requires a single skein (approximately 420 yards) of sock/fingering yarn in a variegated colorway of your choice. If you have the basic knitting skills mastered, this class will be perfect for you to continue growing a few new skills (increases, twisting stitches, basic mesh lacework, pattern abbreviations, and blocking) and the completed project will blow you away!
