Camp Specialty Summer Camps Contests and Competitions Ages 7-11 4 Classes Does your child struggle with competition? Join us in this fun competitive camp! This camp is based on team-building activities that will prepare children with social skills and etiquette while playing games and sports in group settings. We will have fun and learn what it takes to support your team as well as the value of winning AND losing. When kids are encouraged to express themselves and take risks in creating art, they develop a sense of innovation that will be important in their lives. This camp will assist children in learning and enhancing their motor skills, decision making, visual learning, cultural awareness and language development (explaining their works of art). A small art show will be held on the last day of class, parents will be invited. Details will be in the camp newsletter. Children practice and reinforce their learning in multiple areas during play. Are you up for the challenge of riding heart-pounding roller coasters? Join us as we travel to Great America in Gurnee. Please note: transportation and ticket price are included. Bring additional money for food/snacks/drinks. All participants will need to provide cell phone number to chaperones and they will receive our Park District trip cell phone number to contact staff if necessary, while at the park. Participants will be required to check in with chaperones at designated times.
