Cultural Arts Playhouse 38 - Youth Production Directed by: Meredith Vandre Singin’ in the Rain Jr. has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her. Auditions Now ng! i t s a C February 27 and March 1 from 6:30 -8:30 pm This musical youth production is recommended for those ages 7 and up. If you wish to audition, you must prepare a musical theatre song, up to 32 bars, to be performed acapella, and a monologue or cut from a story or poem of no more than one minute in length. Additionally, those who audition, will be taught a song, a short dance combination, and may be asked to read from the script. Call 630-232-4542 to schedule your audition today! Rehearsal Information Rehearsals will begin the week of March 5 and are scheduled to rehearse Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and Saturdays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
