Registration Information Ice Skating Classes require two registrations ( One through FVIA and the Geneva Park District ). Please follow the steps below to pay the annual $ 18 basic skill fee through FVIA : 1 ) Log onto fvia . us , click ‘ Register For A Program ’ 2 ) If you have an account click ‘ login ’, if you don ’ t select ‘ Household Account ’ ( Parent is primary and then they add children ) 3 ) Once logged in click ‘ Register For A Program ’, then click ‘ Skate School ’ Tab on the left hand side 4 ) Towards the bottom of the page you will see USFS Basic Skills Registration , click ‘ Register ’ 5 ) Select person you are registering ( Parents remember you are registering whoever is taking the class ) 6 ) Accept the waiver by checking the box , then , click ‘ Add To Cart ’ and then ‘ Checkout ’ All classes include Open Skate times : Tuesday : 5:40 - 5:50 pm and Thursday : 6:10 - 6:30 pm . Missed classes can be made up anytime within the session depending on class availability . Please check with the skate school staff for a makeup voucher on No Class dates . The curriculum is designed to teach the
fundamentals of hockey skating . Skaters will
learn how to maneuver faster and be more agile
on the ice . Proper skating techniques are the
primary focus of the levels . All elements will be
taught without a puck . Necessary equipment : Hockey
skates and Certified hockey helmet ( ice approved ).
