Horsemanship for Kids !
Ages 9-17
6 Class Join in the fun at Dunham Woods Farm with beginning riding lessons ! Learn about the proper ways to groom , tack and handle horses . In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot . Lessons will be held in our indoor arena during inclement weather . Please note : first day of class is orientation and groundwork . Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small , low heel . Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet . Make up class held at the end of the 6 weeks . It allows children to program their own interactive stories , games and animations . It encourages systematic reasoning , creativity , and helps them to work collaboratively . LEGO Robotics Academy

6 Classes The LEGO Robotics Academy is a comprehensive , repeatable program where children learn to design , build and program robots . Using a creative educational approach that supports Science , Technology , Engineering and Math ( STEM ), this class is led by teacher-led instruction followed by fun , engaging and dynamic activities . The Robotics Academy is a repeatable program where children are placed based on skill and experience . Students can move up a level each time they take the class to take on more advanced concepts and activities . Models such as powered cars , cranes , and a solar windmill are examples of Chasewood ’ s teacherled instruction followed by fun , engaging and dynamic activities . Halloween Electrical Engineering with Circuits
Ages 8 - 13
1 Class Learning electrical engineering is spooky and spectacular with Halloween themed circuits ! This is a one-session experience to create and collaborate on cool projects like building a motion detector to ward off bats and helping the police by engineering a siren amplifier to scare away creepy clowns . Haunted Bridges and Tunnels Engineering – Creeptastic
Ages 6 - 12
1 Class This exciting Halloween themed workshop is designed to add meaning to structures that children see in their everyday environment . Children will be introduced to the history , function , design , and geometry of bridges and tunnels using highly motivating hands on engineering activities . K ’ NEX parts , building straws , Hershey chocolate and more will be used to enrich student ’ s understanding of bridges and tunnels . Beam , arch , truss , suspension and drawbridges will be investigated . In the spirit of Halloween , kids will also learn about America ’ s creepiest crossings . Winter Break STEM Camp
