Genesis Science Fiction Magazine Issue #7 Electronic Edition | Page 2

Table of Contents It is our pleasure to bring you the next exciting issue of Genesis Science Fiction Magazine. It is important to get our images out to the public through our independent efforts. And it’s equally important for future generations that we make our mark by telling our stories, and sharing them with the world. Story: Cygnus Loop This issue is our Black History Month issue. As we acknowledge and give honor to our ancestors and our past, we chart a course toward our future; and we do our best to build our body of work from foundations that were laid by creators that have come before us. Thus, we salute our predecessors that have blazoned the path for us to follow, such as: Charles W. Chesnutt, Sutton Griggs, Frances Harper, Martin Delany, Pauline Hopkins, Edward A. Johnson, George Schuyler, Thomas Mofolo, JeanLouis Njemba Medou, Muhammadu Bello Kagara, Abubakar Imam, Félix Couchoro, and Mäkonnen Endalkaččäw … and so many others too numerous to name. To them we give thanks and honor.
