I’m working on a story for Genesis II, a story for Griots II, and waiting to hear from my editor on my novel The Constant Tower. I am also
adding three new short stories to my short fiction collection, Spirit Fruit.
Who are some of your favorite authors and why?
I like the classics, generally. The Bible, Shakespeare, etc. My favorite writers tend to be my friends. I read what my friends write.
What books, movies and comics really do it for you?
I like any story with really good worldbuilding, and any character who has heart, and a story with a spiritual theme. Faves include Incredible
Shrinking Man, Dune, Flatland, The King of Elfland’s Daughter, Kindred.
What advice do you have for people following in your footsteps?
Don’t follow in my footsteps. Write from the passion in your own heart. General advice; join critique groups, don’t be in a rush to be published,
read great specfic and study them to understand why they work.
Do you have any parting words you would like to leave us with?
Trust God, believe in yourself, support your favorite writers.
