CD: It’d be a difficult decision for me to give up the freedom of creator-owned stories, and I don’t for one second believe that (as I once heard a fairly well established writer declare) anyone who doesn’t want to graduate to Big Two work-for-hire should get out of comics. If I were ever to try my hand at mainstream superheroics, I’d have to believe I had something worthwhile to say in that field. Until I can definitely say that, it’s not something I’m going to expend a lot of energy on. GH: I do this as my full-time job and wouldn’t do anything else.
