Science Centre Singapore was established on 10th of December, 1977 by
Dr Toh Chin Chye, who was the minister in charge of the Science Centre
Board during his time. The main purpose of the Centre was to:
Showcase physical sciences, life sciences, applied sciences,
technology and industry.
Promote the circulation of awareness in science and technology.
The Omni-Theatre was established in 1987, which is Singapore’s only
IMAX dome theatre. The educational films brought about a new
dimension to learning science.
Snow City has a 60-metre long slide for skiers. It became the first of its
kind to offer educational programs and workshops to various schools. In
April 2014, a sport climbing wall (THE CLIFF) was initiated to
accommodate a range of students and fans of this popular sport. It is a
great place for kids and students like you!
