IL : I have always been deeply inspired by the Italian cinema during its Neorealist era. It is a popular cinema addressing social issues of the pre-war period. As for contemporary directors, I admire the work of director Youssef Chahine, Italian director Nanni Moretti as well as Woody Allen. Nouri Bouzid will always be, to me, the best Tunisian filmmaker. LG : What’s your professional dream ? IL : I would like to achieve a cinematographic work that could be projected everywhere in Tunisia and reach a broad audience. Another dream would be to make a living out of ma passion for cinema. A simple dream, but hard to achieve. LG : What is your favorite destination in Tunisia ?
