Joseph Sudek, « Le monde à ma fenêtre »

« Le monde à ma fenêtre » est la première exposition de cette ampleur qui restitue le travail et la vie de
Joseph Sudek dans le contexte praguois de la première moitié du XXème siècle, imprégné de l’intense vie
artistique de la capitale tchèque. À travers une sélection de 150 œuvres couvrant l’ensemble de la carrière
de l’artiste, de 1920 à 1976, l’exposition se propose d’examiner comment la photographie de Sudek reflète
sa relation au monde environnant, des explorations de l’intimité de son atelier et de son jardin vu de sa
fenêtre aux vagabondages plus lointains qui le mènent aux rues de Prague et à sa périphérie, en passant par
ses excursions dans la campagne alentour.  I Du 07 juin au 25 septembre 2016
Josef Sudek, “The world at my window”
“The world at my window“ is the first exhibition of this importance that presents the work and life of Josef Sudek in the context of Prague
during the first half of the 20th century, marked by the vibrant artistic life of the Czech capital. Through a selection of 150 artworks that
cover the entire career of the artist, from 1920 to 1976, the exhibition shows how Sudek’s photographic work reflects his relationship with
the world around him, from the intimacy of his studio and his garden viewed through his window to the wanderings in the streets of Prague
and its outskirts, and the excursions to the surrounding countrysides.  I From 7 June to 25 September 2016
