I think that in terms of iconographic analysis, in an age where we are still
afraid of image, it is time to accept this new world, to dive into it in terms of
productivity, creativity and diversification. On the other side, I understand that
at the end of the era of the single image we can still be reluctant, but things
will change little by little.
But that as it may, diversity enables exchange, openness and projection
towards the future and the others. On the opposite, the single system stifles
the possibilities, we are still there... The good news is that we are witnessing a
historic moment at all levels : generational, educational and socio-cultural. We
don’t see the change on a daily basis, but it is there and if we take a little bit of
distance, we can see it happening.
LG : Do you have projects and ideas for the end of the year ?
SB : I take part in the fourth image in Paris, planned for October 2016,
a professional photography fair, on the occasion of the Month of
Photography. I will also be in Paris for a new form of exhibition, where
the universe of the Maison de la Plage (Beach House) in Tunis will travel
as an independent gallery with several artists from various disciplines, during the
month of September. More projects are also underway for the year to come. I

صوفية بركات مصورة محترفة تجذّ ر فيها حب الصورة منذ بداية
وعندما بلغت سن الثامنة عشر غادرت تونس لتلتحق.شبابها
بإحدى مدارس التصوير في باريس إال أن التجربة التي خاضتها
في وكالة "ماغنوم" للصور الشهيرة والمميزة هي التي كشفت
ومنذ ذلك الحين شاركت.ميلها للتصوير الوثائقي والصحفي
