Professional photographer, Sophia Baraket
has cultivated a love for image since her youngest age.
At 18 years old, she leaves Tunisia to attend a Parisian

LG : As a photo-documentarian, you are witness to emotionally charged events.
How do you cope with this ?
SB : We learn little by little how to tame ourselves. Of course, nothing is easy
but I think that every profession demands that we improve ourselves and
sharpen our perceptions and emotions. In the profession of photographer, I
think that what matters the most is to be aware of the impact that we have on
others. It is above all a responsibility.

LG : Can you name a photographer who inspires you ?

SB : Abbas, who was my mentor at the Magnum agency. Thanks to him, I had

SB : It still is... underestimated, with respect to the sector in Tunisia. Yet, it is
