HOW HE PROPOSED
In March 2016, we headed to Chicago for the weekend to see one of our
favorite bands, Lake Street Dive. We checked into our hotel room and
were trying to decide where to grab a drink before dinner. Then Andy
said, “Let’s go on a walk through the park first!” We head into Grant
Park and start wandering around. We are shivering, and I am ready
to go back when we come upon a beautiful little sculpture garden. He
brings me to the middle of it and gets down on one knee. My favorite
part is when he looked up at me and said, “It’s happening.” It was so
goofy and just about us. It was perfect.
