t has been a tough year for global darling and
graceful beauty Olivia Newton-John, but she
fights on.
A statement on Newton-John’s official
Facebook page revealed the back pain that
initially caused her to postpone the first half of her
concert tour early this summer turned out to be breast
cancer that has metastasized to the sacrum. In addition
to natural wellness therapies, Newton-John underwent a
short course of photon radiation therapy.
“I decided on my direction of therapies after
consultation with my doctors and natural therapists,
and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer
Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia,”
she said.
She spent weeks focusing on her treatment
and healing, then resumed her tour with several
performances in the United States, including a night in
Springfield, Missouri, in late August.
