I am a person who wears heels with
almost everything. Once I got over the
teenage insecurity of being nearly 5 feet
10 inches tall, high heels were on for me.
These silver shoes with a shiny ankle
strap are the perfect complement to
a date-night look.

I
am feeling a little playful this season. Maybe it’s because I spent
the better part of 2017 being serious, focused on work, buying
a home and getting more organized. In 2018, I look forward to
relaxing a little more and enjoying the things around me. As I
think about warmer spring weather, I am inspired by color. My
goal is to add touches of reds, oranges, pinks and greens to my wardrobe.
Here are a few items for inspiration.
One of the best things about velvet is
that it makes most things look expensive.
This slip dress is not only budget-
friendly, it can be worn in all seasons.
Add a long fur coat and boots for a
winter look, or wear it with a strappy
shoe and clutch for a spring evening.
Don’t forget to throw in a little sparkle
for a sassy, sophisticated look. Simple
diamond earrings should do the trick.

If life depends on the color of the glass I am looking through, I want
to see it through a kaleidoscopic splash of color filled with optimism,
vitality and joy. My choice for eyewear is sunglasses by Ágatha Ruiz
de la Prada, which have an artsy, yet sophisticated flair.

When I turned the big 3-0 (many moons ago), I shied
away from wearing Guess because it made me feel
like I was dressing too young for my age. But when
Jennifer Lopez was named the new face of Guess
Jeans last fall, it gave me new confidence to go back to
a brand I love. I will proudly rock the Guess
tees, shorts and jackets.
