ell-wishers celebrated with Champagne and cake at the
recent first anniversary party for ANEW. The rooftop
event space and street side test kitchen was built inside the
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri building in
Grand Center in the organization’s efforts to strengthen
relationships and to better engage with the community. The building itself is
significant: It once housed the St. Louis Woolworth store, where historic sit-ins and
protests took place in the ‘50s and ‘60s.
