REFRESHING Store Benefits Foster and Adoptive Care SHOPPING EXPERIENCE R By Jessica Brawley EFRESH is definitely not your typical resale store. For starters, this spacious two-story boutique features a DJ booth, a red carpet, T.V. and a texting lounge with couches. You can even host your next party there. REFRESH has trendy clothing, including a section boasting names like Kate Spade, Tory Burch, and more. Its prices beat those you’ll find at other discount chains. Plus, their management team is friendly, personable, and offers free fashion advice that is hard to find elsewhere. The second floor houses formal party wear (including shoes), and this is also where you’ll find the red carpet runway, just outside the dressing room. There you can model the latest fashions in front of your friends, who wait comfortably on the lounge couches while they watch T.V. or browse through a fashion magazine. The only thing that can top fashionable clothes at reasonable prices is shopping in the name of a great cause. REFRESH is run by the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, a St. Louis nonprofit that finds forever families for area children in foster care. Not only do the store’s proceeds benefit the coalition’s important work, but it is a training ground where foster care teenagers learn valuable job skills. REFRESH also provides even deeper discounts to children in foster care. Shopping at REFRESH truly makes both your heart and wallet feel good. REFRESH is located in Brentwood at 1750 S. Brentwood Blvd.; open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m., Sunday. Learn more at www.Foster-Adopt.org. SAVVY SOPHISTICATED SASSY
