GAZELLES IN OUR MIDST Q: Do you write your songs? What are some of your inspirations? Iris: I mainly co-write with SongsByTitus. I love it because both of our minds create such a vibe in music, and writing together makes songs so much better. My inspiration when I write music mainly consists of my inner thoughts and feelings - things that I go through. I would call myself an emotive writer. I write off of pure feelings because I personally have so much to say. I want people to hear and connect with my story. That’s really important to me. Q: Where do you perform locally? Iris:  I've performed at Ballpark Village, The Ready Room, and I also love performing at local art shows and charity events. Q: What is the ultimate dream that you are working toward? Iris: I would love to win a Grammy Award one day, as well as break stereotypes of what it means to be a music artist, break new records as an independent artist, redefine what it means to release independently and find success. I want to get endorsements that have never been heard of from an independent artist. I could honestly go on for days about this. I feel like the sky is the limit for me.
