WELLNESS & WELL-BEING T Pink Ribbon Teas he Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis’ popular Saturday Afternoon Tea will take on a decidedly pink twist this month, when the hotel supports breast cancer patients through a series of four special Pink Ribbon Teas. Net proceeds from the annual nonprofit teas will benefit the locally based Gateway to Hope - a breast cancer lifeline with the mission of providing assistance for in-need individuals who are diagnosed with or are at high risk of developing breast cancer. Dates for this year’s Saturday tea are Oct. 6, 13, 20 and 27, when Afternoon Tea will transform into Pink Ribbon Tea, with finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and sweet treats created or garnished in pink. Pink Champagne will be available for those wishing to upgrade to the “royal” version of tea. 84 GAZELLE During the hotel’s Pink Ribbon Tea month, guests and area residents can also celebrate a loved one, survivor or patient by leaving a personalized pink ribbon on a pink ribbon tree, which will be prominently displayed in the hotel lobby throughout October. For those wishing to make a night of it, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis will offer its annual Pink Ribbons and Sweet Dreams weekend overnight package during October, highlighted with luxury accommodations, breakfast for two, Pink Ribbons and Sweet Dreams turndown service, including a chef-designed pink amenity, and pink ribbons for guests to personalize and display on the hotel lobby’s pink ribbon tree.
