Jan . 22 to 28 for Clayton Restaurant Week .
For the ninth year in a row , diners simply go to a participating restaurant , and order from a special dining menu for either $ 25 or $ 35 per person , plus tip and tax . It is a great opportunity to indulge at a favorite eatery , or experience one of Clayton ’ s new additions . When paying your dining check , consider adding an “ Extra Helping ” donation . A donation that is $ 5 or more goes directly to Operation Food Search , which provides nutritious food to the hungry in the local community .

The Repertory Theatre of St . Louis presents The St . Louis Food & Wine Experience Friday , Jan . 26 through Sunday , Jan . 28 . The 16th annual event will feature more than 900 wines for tasting and a plethora of culinary delights to sample . Vicia One of Top U . S . Restaurants
Speaking of a unique experience , St . Louis native and former chef de cuisine at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in New York , Michael Gallina , came back to his roots to open Vicia with his wife , Tara , former service captain at Blue Hill . Vicia is being touted nationally as one of the best new food establishments in the country , focusing on great service , wood-fired cooking and vegetables . But that doesn ’ t mean meat doesn ’ t show up on the menu . It ’ s just not the primary focus .
