Friendly faces , live music and an inviting candlelit setting greeted guests to the 12th annual Friends of CharacterPlus Fall Party to benefit the largest and most successful community-wide character education initiative in the country . The group ’ s signature Friday-before- Thanksgiving gathering was held at City Cottage on Chouteau , where attendees feasted on wood-fired pizzas , elaborate hors d ’ oeuvre and dessert stations , and cocktails , while being entertained by Jazz St . Louis ’ Jazz U Trio . Co-chaired by Debra Hollingsworth and Trish Muyco- Tobin , the event included the presentation of the Sandy McDonnell Dedication to Character Award to Veronica McDonnell , who founded Friends of CharacterPlus in 2005 .
