Resale Royalty
T
he Vault Luxury Resale, founded by Sue McCarthy, was
the setting for Style Network’s workplace documentary
series, “Resale Royalty.” Located in Brentwood, The
Vault draws shoppers from not only the United States,
but around the world. It is not uncommon to run into a
shopper who traveled from a different city in search of exclusive items.
We recently caught up with the ladies to find out how they continue to
maintain that retail magic and dominate the resale industry.
Q. What do you love most about your work? It’s like Christmas
every day. You never know what’s going to come through the door. We
look at over a thousand items daily, so it creates a very high-energy kind
of vibe. People cannot wait to see what’s coming out next!
Q. What sets The Vault Luxury Resale apart from other resale
shops? We have 50,000 suppliers from all over the country that we
buy from. We are getting a huge volume of designer goods on a daily
basis. We also offer an in-home pickup service and will pay you for your
designer goods right in your very own closet.
We now pick up in over 10 major cities in the U.S. We pay cash on
the spot for your items and buy everything from Lululemon to Louis
Vuitton. Our store has become a destination for shoppers. We have
groups of women that come from out of town to shop with us. We even
create their own in-town itinerary of things to do, where to shop, where
to eat and where to stay while they are in town. We are a full-service
operation.
