You have arrived in Mexico City and
you have come to a place where
art, cuisine and entertainment are
intertwined with each step you
take. If you come for a few days,
I am suggesting a weekend with
the ideal activities and places for
you to make the most out of this
magnificent destination.
Thursday:
For your first day I recommend
beginning in Polanco. Here you
can visit the Soumaya Museum, a
place with a very innovative interior
and exterior design that offers its
visitors a themed tour of six rooms
filled with art and history. Before
night falls go to Centro Cultural del
Bosque, a venue with five theaters
with various stage proposals and
plays that you can enjoy.
Llegaste a la Ciudad de México y
has llegado a un núcleo donde el
arte, la gastronomía y la diversión
se mezclan con cada paso que
das. Si vienes por unos días, te
propongo un fin de semana con
las actividades y lugares ideales
para aprovechar al máximo este
magnífico destino.
Jueves:
Para tu primer día te recomendaré
comenzar en Polanco. Aquí
puedes visitar el Museo Soumaya,
un lugar que cuenta con un diseño
exterior e interior innovador y que
ofrece un recorrido temático por 6
salas llenas de arte e historia. De
aquí trasládate al Centro Cultural
del Bosque, un recinto con varios
teatros con diversas propuestas
escénicas.
Friday:
Venture into the alternative and
let’s take a walk on La Roma, a
neighborhood perfect for walking
and enjoying the architecture of
this area. I highly recommend
eating in this area as you’ll find
something to satisfy every palate.
At night visit Saint or Tom’s
Leather Bar, two hot spots for
Mexico City’s gay community.
Saturday:
Take a walk down Paseo de
la Reforma to get to know
the essence of this city and its
history through its emblematic
monuments. Journey all the
way to the Zocalo in downtown,
making a mandatory stop in
Bellas Artes, the most important
cultural center in Mexico. To end
the day on a high note go to Zona
Rosa, where you can find bars
and clubs for all tastes.
Sunday:
Before you leave visit Coyoacan
and buy crafts typical of the
region. To bring a fabulous close
to your weekend visit the Frida
Kahlo Museum. Inside the
blue house you will find not just
paintings of the artist, but also
items that were witness to the
everyday life of this great Mexican
painter.

Viernes:
Apuéstale a lo alternativo y vamos
a pasear a La Roma, un barrio
perfecto para caminar y disfrutar
de la arquitectura de esta zona.
Te recomiendo comer en esta
zona ya que encontrarás algo
para satisfacer cualquier paladar.
Por la noche visita Saint o Tom’s
Leather Bar, dos de los lugares
preferidos por la comunidad gay
de la ciudad.
Sábado:
Haz un recorrido por Paseo de
la Reforma si quieres conocer
en esencia esta ciudad y
su historia a través de sus
monumentos emblemáticos.
Aventúrate hasta el Zócalo del
Centro Histórico haciendo una
parada obligatoria en Bellas
Artes, el monumento artístico
más importante de México. Para
terminar el día ve a la Zona
Rosa, donde encontrarás bares y
discotecas para todos los gustos.
Domingo:
Antes de irte visita Coyoacán
y compra artesanías típicas de
la región. Para cerrar tu fin de
semana con broche de oro visita el
Museo de Frida Kahlo. Dentro de
la casa azul encontrarás pinturas
de la artista y objetos que fueron
testimonio de la vida cotidiana de
esta gran pintora mexicana.
